The Valencia Boat Show is already preparing its 2017 edition, which will be held from the 1st to the 5th of November, in the Marina of Valencia, with more square metres of covered exhibition area. The show has presented its new image for 2017, inspired by the Mediterranean Sea and the thriving field of water sports.
Now with all the nautical world
For 2017, the show will keep the last edition’s slogan “Valencia is Sailing”, with the added sentence “now with all the nautical world”, since one of the great novelties this year is the addition of other sports such as surfing, windsurfing, paddle surf, kayaking and diving, amongst others, which will be offered alongside the new boats exhibited. All the water activities will be located in the covered exhibition area of the recently refurbished Tinglado Nº2, exhibiting 5.000 m2 more than the 2016 edition.
This year we are betting on the addition of other more affordable water sports that are a way into sailing and motor yachting. We want to open up to a wider public and to more generations and we want to disseminate the nautical sector”, assured the show director, Fernando Jiménez, who pointed out that “the success of last year’s show has demonstrated to us that, indeed, Valencia is Sailing. We have very good conditions for nautical sports, and we are positioning ourselves as a nautical destination in Europe”.
A new image for 2017
The image of the Valencia Boat Show 2017 represents a sail divided into five parts, which will be displayed on a blue texturized background or with this texture on a white background. “I wanted to reflect the luminosity of the light and water of the Mediterranean Sea. The five parts of the sail represent the five continents and the slogan “Valencia is Sailing” is in tiny handwritten letters, conveying the thriving activity of water sports”, says the Japanese designer Yukari Taki, based in Valencia since 1998 and in charge of the image for this year’s show.

The Valencia Boat Show is one of the benchmark events for the Marine industry in Spain that will be held from the 1st to the 5th of November in the Marina of Valencia. One of the great novelties this year is the addition of other sports such as surfing, windsurfing, paddle surf, kayaking, and diving, amongst others, which will be offered alongside the new boats exhibited from the major European boat builders.
