Kicking off the Sailing Season in The Netherlands

Sailing Season

Spring  has definitely sprung; flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, the Easter Bunny is arriving and boats are in the the water! With that said, sailing season is upon us and will kick off this weekend with the Van Uden Stellendam Regatta. Who is ready to shake off the cobwebs and get some practice in for the NSR? It is never too late to sign up!

NSR Headquarter News

At the NSR headquarters we also didn’t sit still and our Notice of Race has been approved and posted online. Head over to our Manage2sail portal to download your copy of the NOR and most importantly sign up for the NSR as the Late Bird Fee will take effect starting May 1st.

On Board Reporters (OBR’s) Wanted

To bring the NSR alive for the ones not sailing and following the sporty adventures from the comfort of land we are recruiting OBR’s from different teams. If you are interested to work with us, please send an e-mail to Steffie Plomp at media@nsr.nl

Tendrr Crew Pool Available

You may have heard that for 2019 we have partnered with Tendrr for our crew pool to get as many people out on the water as possible. Lots of crew has already singed up to be linked with open positions on competing boats. This year there is no excuse for shorthanded skippers to not register for the NSR as we got you covered.

Boats with spare berths can use the Find Crew button to create a “trip” for both the Vuurschepen Race and the In-shore races. Your trip’s details will be forwarded to anyone “Following” North Sea Regatta as well as visible to the thousands of credible sailors on Tendrr’s site. Anyone interested in crewing at North Sea Regatta can “Follow” the event to be notified when opportunities arise.

See you on the water, dock or at the beaches.
